Description

** For Kingston groups only **

This session forms part of KVA's infrastructure support offer, funded by the Royal Borough of Kingston.

Stories are a fundamental part of human life. They help us understand the world around us, connect to others and recall information.

Compelling storytelling can help you communicate the real difference your organisation makes, highlighting your impact to funders, reaching more people and inspiring trust.

Hearing directly from people who experience your services and activities can generate empathy and understanding of their goals and challenges. Ultimately connecting people to the heart of what makes your support so vital.

This bite-sized training will introduce you to a range of techniques to help you capture people’s stories (whether anonymous or published in full) and craft them into shareable content.

This session will cover

By the end of this session, you’ll know how to:

1. Identify the elements that make a successful case study (story)
2. Plan useful questions and record people’s stories
3. Select digital tools to create and present your case studies
4. Use privacy and permissions best practice

You’ll also go away with ideas of how to get the most from your stories and share them in lots of different ways.
