Description

** For groups based or delivering services in Kingston only **

We know that many small charities and community groups struggle with issues with the desk top computers, laptops, tablets, smart phones and other devices they are using to run their organisations.

It's often easier and quicker to diagnose and rectify these kinds of problems in person, and so we are inviting you to a Bring Your Own Tech afternoon where the Superhighways team from KVA will be on hand to troubleshoot your device issues and hopefully solve your issues.

These could include:
* a device running slowly or taking ages to start up and you're unsure whether you can clean or upgrade for better performance
* worrying that you have a virus on your device as strange things are happening!
* getting messages about licences needing to be updated or activated and not sure how to do this
* problems using the camera and microphone e.g. in Zoom or Teams calls
* issues accessing or using other specific apps
* and many more similar scenarios!

To help us organise the afternoon, when booking your space we will ask you to provide information about what you will be bringing, the issues you are facing and which 90 min slot/s during the afternoon you would be available for. We'll then be back in touch with further questions and confirmation of the time slot.

If you also have issues with software you are using including e.g. websites, email, file storage, online forms or surveys, please also let us know on the booking form as another member of the team can help advise you whilst your device is being looked at.

Some refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon.

The event will be held at: Superhighways | Siddeley House | 50 Canbury Park Road | Kingston KT2 6LX

Whilst there is no parking on site, you can drop equipment off and then park in the adjoining streets.

By Foot/Rail
Head for Kingston station, cross over to Tesco, walk under the railway bridge, turn right on Canbury Park Road, and Siddeley House is the first large building on the right after the terrace houses.

Pre-course requirement

You will need to provide information about your device and the specific issues you are having with it in advance of the session. We may follow up with further questions.
