Description
Community Lens's sister tool, AutoGeoMapper is a new tool enabling you to simply paste postcodes into a webpage and these will automatically be converted to boroughs or wards (your choice) and then counts visualised on a colour shaded map (darker shading representing higher count numbers).
You can then download the image file to share and include in reports along with a data table with borough and ward information (including codes) for each post code entered.
In this short, bite-sized session you will have a chance to first practice using AutoGeoMapper with sample data provided. Then there will be time to create your own maps using your organisational data sets.
This session will cover
* A demonstration of how to use AutoGeoMapper
* Creating colour shaded geographica maps with sample data
* Creating colour shaded geographical maps with your own organisational data
* An introduction to additional ‘chloropleth’ creating digital tools – Datawrapper and the London Datastore Excel Mapping Template
