Superhighways and our Datawise London partnership are interested in ‘data journeys’: the ways in which people start to engage with and explore data, whether internal or external data and the online and offline tools they use to do this.

We’d like to ask you about your motivations for using and working with data. As well as the motivations and challenges that may have shaped your learning.

This session will cover

This is a research learning event for Superhighways and the Datawise London partnership to better understand what motivates staff or volunteers at smaller charities and community organisations to embark on a journey of using data, developing data skills and making choices about technology and tools along the way.

Pre-course requirement

You must have some experience of using data within the course of your everyday work and an interest and focus on improving data and skills in your organisation.

Am I eligible for this course?

This is for organisations delivering frontline services in London, with an annual income of under £1 million and greater than £10,000, registered as a legal entity. You can also be an infrastructure organisation based in London and supporting small charities and community organisations in London.

Is this course for me?

You do not need to be a data expert or technical whizz to attend. However, you must have some experience of collecting, managing, analysing or sharing data to help you run your activities and adapt your services. If in doubt, please get in touch with us!

Course format

Peer networking event

A peer networking event is a facilitated space for you to come together with peers to share and learn from each other. You will be asked to participate in activities including small group discussions and it will be best to join from a laptop or desktop device. We encourage participants to have their cameras on where possible.
