Description
Join Datawise London and the Office for National Statistics (ONS) for an online session in Teams looking at a range of tools we can use as non data experts to explore Census 2021 data and other datasets useful for small London charities and community groups.
We'll be joined by Emily Stidston, Deputy Head of Outreach & Engagement and colleagues, who will give us an overview of data outputs and interactive tools that are available along with some specific demos of how to use these.
We'll be customising the session as much as possible to your interests, so please let us know what you'd like to explore when booking on to the session. We've supported small charities bettter understand unpaid carers in Bexley, explore housing tenure for young people in Hounslow and identify employment discrepancies across London.
There will also be time for questions and networking. The ONS are keen to hear from the sector about our data needs and collaborate to ensure we can both access and use the valuable data they hold.
Superhighways is hosting this session with our Datawise London partners and collaborators HEAR Network and London Plus.
We will also be running follow up monthly practical 'build your own Census 2021 custom datasets' for the rest of 2023 - so book using the links below (to be added soon) if you'd like to be guided through this process and supported in your use of Excel to analyse the data to find the answers to questions you are exploring.
