Description
Do you need a new website for your charity or community organisation?
Voice is a free website builder available to all community, not-for-profit, and voluntary groups in the UK. It is used by hundreds of organisations including charities, schools, town and parish councils, sports clubs, and special interest groups.
This two-day training course will equip you with the key skills you need to create and develop a new website for your community organisation.
It takes place on Thursday 2 November and Friday 3 November, 9.30am to 4.30pm. You will need to attend both days. There will be plenty of breaks and time to complete tasks during the training.
By the end of the training you will have a basic website structure. You can add your own information. However, there will be practice materials available so that you can gain confidence in adding pages and editing them.
Unless your website is very simple, you are unlikely to finish your website in two days. However, we offer one-to-one support to help you complete your website ready for launch.
Who funds Voice?
Voice Online Communities is part funded by National Lottery Community Fund to further develop the platform.
Additional running costs are covered by building more complex websites for those organisations with a budget. This means it is free of charge for small charities and community organisations.
Benefits of using Voice to build your website:
*There are no ongoing costs
*You do not have to pay for 'hosting'.
*You can upload as many photos as you like
*There are lots of useful functions that you can add yourself e.g. events calendar, noticeboard
*you do not have to worry about how many photos you upload, or whether you want to include a video on your webpages.
